Welcome to the collaborative Living RCM website. Living RCM is a radically new yet simple process for improving reliability safely at minimal cost. If you are a user of maintenance technology, a consultant, or a vendor you may contribute to the living RCM movement in maintenance strategy. You will find eye-opening, valuable ideas here that you have not seen elsewhere. Register to gain access to this material.

The diagram illustrates that effective physical asset management depends on several categories of information and knowledge. Information comes from databases such as those of the CMMS and those fed by condition monitoring applications. But knowledge derives from the combination of information and analysis. The analysis tools and knowledge bases are represented by the left and right diagram blocks respectively.

The authors are thinking about how to merge all the relevant ideas into into a single compelling case. Dr. Daming Lin has added some comments to those of Naaman. Watch out for a healthy debate!

This report describes a typical data extract from a requester’s CBM and Work order databases. We examine and discuss the data and recommend a course of action that will optimize this organization’s CBM programs
